Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of Job Coach, available at jobcoach.biz and through the Job Coach apps. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

These Terms are an agreement between you and Job Coach, the operator of Job Coach.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Job Coach, or older if the law where you live requires it. By using the service you confirm that you meet that requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.

If you use Job Coach on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that organisation.

3. Your account

• Keep your login details private and do not share your account with anyone else.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Tell us promptly at our contact address if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
• You may close your account at any time. Some provisions, such as intellectual property, payment obligations and liability, continue to apply after that.

4. What Job Coach provides

• AI career coaching: a guided conversation that surfaces your skills, strengths and target roles, and produces a profile summary and elevator pitch.
• Learning academy: courses generated for you on request, plus a library of courses, with lesson-level progress tracking.
• Job hub: live job searches, saved jobs, and an application pipeline you manage.
• Resume analyser: AI feedback on your resume against a job description.
• AI tools academy: practical courses on using AI tools, assistants and automation.

5. AI-generated content

Many features produce content with AI: coaching replies, course material, resume feedback, skill summaries and job matching. AI output can be incomplete, out of date or wrong.

It is provided as general guidance for your own decision-making. It is not legal, financial, medical, immigration or recruitment advice, and it is not a promise of an outcome. No tool can guarantee you an interview, a job offer or a particular salary.

You are responsible for what you do with it. Check anything important against the original source, your own judgement, or a qualified professional before relying on it.

6. Job listings and third-party sites

Job listings shown in Job Coach are found through live searches of third-party sources. We do not create, own, verify or control those listings, and we do not act as a recruiter or an employment agency.

Listings can be out of date, duplicated or withdrawn at any time. Job Coach is free for jobseekers and we never charge you to apply for a job.

Applying happens on the employer's own website, under their terms and privacy policy. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

7. Courses and learning content

Course material is licensed to you for your own personal, non-commercial learning while your account is active.

You may not resell, redistribute, publish or systematically copy course content, or use it to train another AI system.

Some courses are generated on request by AI. Their content may contain mistakes or become out of date, and is provided for learning rather than as a certification or qualification.

8. Plans, payments and renewals

Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the interval shown on the pricing page and at checkout, at the price shown there when you subscribe.

Payments and subscription management are handled by Base44 Payments. Payment details are entered on their checkout and are never visible to us.

You may cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling is not the same as a refund; refunds are governed by the Refunds & Cancellation Policy.

If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend paid features until it succeeds or you cancel. We will tell you before any material price change applies to you.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you put into Job Coach: your messages, resume files, profile details and notes on saved jobs.

You give us permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to run the service for you, for example by sending a coaching message to our AI provider to get a reply, or parsing your resume to produce feedback.

You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or break any law.

10. Acceptable use

• Do not use Job Coach for anything unlawful, or to harass, deceive or harm anyone.
• Do not scrape, crawl, bulk-download or automate access to the service, or use bots to generate content at scale.
• Do not attempt to bypass usage limits, rate limits, or any security control.
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile or resell the service, or share access to it.
• Do not attempt to access another user's data, or upload malware or code designed to disrupt the service.
• Do not upload content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.

11. Our intellectual property

Job Coach, including its software, design, brand and course library, belongs to us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the service under these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute or rebrand our software or brand without our written permission.

12. Availability, changes and termination

• We aim for high availability, but the service is provided as available and may be interrupted by maintenance or events outside our control.
• Features may be added, changed or retired as the product develops.
• We may suspend or close an account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or risk to the service or other users.
• You may stop using the service and close your account at any time.
• If your account is closed, your right to use the service ends and we delete or anonymise your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimers

The service is provided as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that AI output, course content or job listings are accurate, complete, current or suitable for your circumstances.

You are responsible for the decisions you make about your career, applications and learning.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost opportunities or lost profits, or for decisions you take based on AI-generated content, course material or job listings.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator of Job Coach is established, and the courts of that country have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and nothing in these Terms takes that away. Please contact us first at our contact address, because most issues are resolved quickly.

16. Changes to these Terms and contact

We may update these Terms as the service and the law change. The date at the top shows the current version. Where a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and continuing to use Job Coach after that means you accept the updated Terms.
